ACNMWA 35 Years

For the past 35 years, the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts has been dedicated to highlighting the contributions of women artists in Arkansas.

35th Anniversary Receptions and Luncheon

In celebration of our 35th year, we held three free regional receptions across the state and are hosting ticketed luncheon on Tuesday, November 19, at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock featuring Susan Fisher Sterling, Ph.D., The Alice West Director of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C. Founded in 1989 by Ed Dell Wortz, of Fort Smith, and Helen Walton, of Bentonville, ACNMWA is a small, all-volunteer nonprofit committed to boosting awareness and appreciation of women artists in Arkansas. For example, our 2023-25 Juried Artist Registry features images, artist statements and website links for 40 Arkansas artists.
